Texas Sea Grant

Improves the understanding, wise use, and stewardship of Texas coastal and marine resources. Develops and supports research, education and outreach programs and partnerships. Unites the resources of the federal government, the state, and universities across the state to create knowledge, tools, products and services that benefit the economy, the environment, and the citizens of Texas.

Virginia Sea Grant

Advances the resilience and sustainability of Virginia’s coastal and marine ecosystems and the communities that depend upon them. Works with resource managers, businesses, communities, and other stakeholders to provide and apply the best science available. Foci include safe & sustainable seafood, healthy coastal & marine ecosystems, sustainable & resilient coastal communities, and coastal & ocean literacy.

Pennsylvania Sea Grant

Promotes the ecological and economic sustainability of Pennsylvania’s coastal resources through the development of science-based research, education, and extension programs. Foci include urban and suburban sprawl, agricultural and residential runoff, emerging contaminants, abandoned mines and wells, and new drilling in the Marcellus and Utica Shale.

Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant

Combines research, education and outreach to empower southern Lake Michigan communities to secure a healthy environment and economy. Foci include aquaculture, aquative invasive species, climate change, coastal restoration, fish consumption, garbage disposal, great lakes health, land use planning, natural lawn care, and water quality & supply.

Minnesota Sea Grant

Works to enhance Minnesota's coastal environment and economy through scientific research and public education programs. Provides a science-based understanding of the environment to address issues concerning Lake Superior and the state's aquatic resources and associated economies.

Wisconsin Sea Grant

Conducts basic and applied research, education, and outreach and technology transfer dedicated to the stewardship and sustainable use of the nation's Great Lakes and ocean resources. Foci include aquaculture, aquatic invasive species, climate change, coastal communities, coastal engineering, diving, fish & fisheries, the Great Lakes, habitats & ecosystems, maps, ports - harbors - marinas, toxins, water quality, & water sports safety.

Michigan Sea Grant

Supports research, outreach and education to enhance sustainable use of Great Lakes resources, benefiting the environment, the quality of life, and the Michigan, Great Lakes and national economy.

New York Sea Grant

Increases the understanding, assessment, development, utilization, and conservation of the nation’s ocean and coastal resources by promoting a strong educational base, responsive research and training activities, and dissemination of knowledge and techniques. Supports research, education, and extension projects that encourage environmental stewardship, long-term economic development, and responsible use of the nation’s coastal and ocean resources.

Vermont Sea Grant

Develops and supports research, outreach and education programs to empower communities, businesses and other stakeholders in the Lake Champlain Basin to make informed decisions regarding the management, conservation, utilization and restoration of their aquatic resources for long-term environmental health and sustainable economic development.
